Steve Jobs is widely credited with the founding of Apple Inc., the world’s most valuable technology company, and is seen as a pioneer in the personal computing industry. But did he actually create Apple? The answer to this question is somewhat complex and requires an examination of both Jobs’ role at Apple in its early years and his later accomplishments.
Steve Jobs
Steve Jobs is one of the most iconic people of the 20th and 21st century. He was born in San Francisco, California, U.S., and is best known as an entrepreneur, industrial designer, media proprietor, investor and innovator in consumer electronics. He was well-known for his passion for innovation through his unique design style and relentless attention to detail throughout projects. He founded or co-founded several successful companies including Apple Inc., NeXT Inc., Pixar Animation Studios and Next Computer. Additionally, his other industries such as music distribution changed the whole digital media industry with iTunes store which allowed customers to purchase music online rather than buying physical copies at a store.
Moreover, Steve Jobs’ influence has gone beyond just technological innovations within consumer electronics; he developed a philosophy that inspired generations of entrepreneurs to strive for excellence. By setting a standard for quality products during his iconic product launches, he exemplified how companies should use technology to deliver user friendly experiences that enable users to connect emotionally with their products on an access point where hardware design meets software interface design. As a result of this philosophy, Apple products are now known worldwide as some of the highest quality consumer electronics on the market today.
Background
Steven Paul Jobs was born in 1955 to a Syrian father named Abdul Fattah “John” Jandali and an American Catholic mother Joanne Carole Schieble. Jandali was born into a wealthy Arab Muslim family with eight other siblings, and obtained his undergraduate degree at the American University of Beirut before beginning a PhD in political science at the University of Wisconsin. It was there that he met Joanne Schieble, whose parents owned a mink farm and real estate, but their romance faced opposition from Schieble’s father due to Jandali’s Muslim faith.
Despite these obstacles, they continued their relationship which eventually led to Jobs’ birth in San Francisco, California in 1955. He grew up close with both his parents even though they ultimately separated, leaving his adopted parents Paul and Clara Jobs to raise him until he launched the iconic company Apple Inc. Steve Jobs became known for revolutionizing the world with his immense vision for the future of technology making him one of the most influential people our world has ever known.
